ummmmuuuuhhhh!…that’s a little kiss. Thank you John for sending me this wonderful video. You have a handsome face. You have a handsome heart. AND you have a handsome mind. Now can you carry on a conversation???? Just teasing! My heart was a beautiful forest that was burned down to the ground recently. Just a few new growths were able to sprout. My best friend is a young Syrian man, about 22, about half my age. He held onto my heart and refused to let it die when they all came for it. I just now made it through that dark tunnel to the other side, back to The Light. Sometimes people take all the love and give back crumbs. I was watching a prairie dog at the park recently. They look sort of like a big squirrel but with a different face (We used to have a pet squirrel). A woman fed the ducks some bread and this little guy got a piece and stood up eating it by me. I was sitting on the rocks to the left of his little front door, a hole he had made under the rocks. The way he was munching so fast made me laugh out loud. I thought about how simple his life was and how someone was giving and he was accepting. I loved them when I first saw them 2 months ago, but I had to force myself to go back to this park because I knew it was going to be painful. Sure enough a big family with little kids appeared on my right and a couple playfully in love on my left. And me sitting there alone. All the people I love the most stripped away at once, it felt like, but not my closest friends. It just feels like life got so incredibly hard. The forest (my heart) is growing again. I asked God why do some people’s hearts get to grow back and not others? I guess it’s because there are people in this world who give love to strangers. People like you John. God bless.
Love,
Bev
